Amazon Web Services confirmed an investment of R$ 1 billion (USD 231 million) for the construction of a data center in the State of São Paulo. The investment brings the latest technology and will generate more jobs, opportunities, and technology for São Paulo.

“I am very happy to share this good news with you, as a result of our trip to the USA at the end of last year, which will generate new jobs and development in our state.”, said João Doria, Governor of State of São Paulo.

"We at the Brazil California Chamber of Commerce are proud to be part of this achievement. We celebrate the commitment from AWS to Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Latin America, and we applaud Governor Doria and his team for yet another important initiative and partnership, further integrating our economies and our people'', said Felipe Cusnir, President of the Chamber.
